Who am I?

Janelle (Andrea) Schwartz… “JAS.” I am an independent scholar, writer, professor, mentor, project editor, and program designer with over 25 years experience. I hold a PhD in the humanities and teach and speak at institutions and organizations across the North American continent. I work through a variety of disciplines with innovative thinkers and doers, including (but never limited to) community organizers, environmental advocates, farmers, educators, philanthropists, fiction and non-fiction writers, scholars, poets, content producers, arts and culture developers, and entrepreneurs. I thrive on collaboration, interdisciplinary strategizing, and experimentation. And I believe in the power of generosity, the strength of creative and critical thinking, and the necessity of equitable change.
